Hi!π I'm Rebekah, the face behind Field & Flour.
I grew up in Listowel and now call Clifford home with my husband, our two busy little girls, and our dog (Lloyd). Most days you'll find me chasing toddlers, milling flour during nap time, baking, gardening, or working on a cross-stitch project while listening to yet another audiobook. (And yes... there's almost always a coffee in my hand too!π΅ )
Field & Flour started because I fell down a rabbit hole. I began learning about fresh-milled flour, how flour used to be eaten, and how modern commercial flour is processed for shelf life instead of preserving the nutrients that naturally exist in the whole grain.
Once I experienced the benefits in my own family and learned how to successfully bake with fresh-milled flour, I knew I wanted to share that knowledge with others.
What makes my flour different? Every bag contains the entire grain kernelβthe bran, germ, and endospermβfreshly milled together. Nothing is sifted out. Nothing needs to be added back in. It's simply flour the way it was designed to be eaten.
I love knowing exactly what I'm feeding my family. From baking bread from scratch to teaching my girls where their food comes from in the garden, I believe those little moments matter. One of my favorite parts of the day is when my girls help me make bread and tuck the dough in "night night" while it rises. β€οΈ
Honesty is incredibly important to me. That's actually why I have made sure all procuct photos as well as any photos of baked goods on my website are authentic and true. While I've used AI-generated images in the past as I was getting started, I wanted my photos to show the real products and the real baking that comes from my kitchen. They're not Pinterest-perfectβand that's exactly the point. I want you to see what baking with my flour actually looks like.
One of my favorite verses is:
"For He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things." β Psalm 107:9
That verse has carried me through so many seasons. Whenever I've worried about finances, parenting, or what comes next, God has always provided exactly what we needed. Field & Flour is another step of faith, and I'm excited to see where He leads it.
My dream is to grow Field & Flour into more than just a flour business. I'd love to one day have a micro bakery, offer hands-on workshops, sell sourdough starter and baking supplies, attend local markets, and build a community where we share recipes, tips, and encourage each other.
Fresh-milled flour does have a bit of a learning curve, but once it clicks... you're hooked. And the best part? You never have to figure it out alone. If you ever have questions, need help troubleshooting a recipe, or just want to celebrate a beautiful loaf of bread, I'm always here.
Thank you for supporting my family's dream. Every order truly means more than you know.
